Em'edge is run by Owami Dayi, an individual sole trader trading as Em'edge. Owami Dayi is the data controller for the personal information described here, which means we decide how and why it is used.
We do not use your entries to advertise to you, and we do not sell your personal information.
Your project description, deadline, task history and nightly reflection are sent to an AI model provider so a plan can be generated for you. This is done to deliver the service you asked for and the content is not used to train public models by us.
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
We keep your account and plan content while your account is active and for up to 12 months afterwards, then delete or anonymise it. Records we must keep for tax or legal reasons are kept for as long as the law requires.
Depending on where you live, you can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of use, a portable copy, or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. You can also complain to your data protection authority — in South Africa, the Information Regulator. We respond within one month.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and per-user database rules so people can only reach their own data. No service can promise perfect security, but we take this seriously.
We use only essential cookies and local browser storage — to keep you signed in and to remember your reminder settings for the day. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings, though signing in will then be required again.
